Jay joins Axios from Weyerhaeuser where he was Vice President of Strategic Marketing.He brings over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, marketing and finance.His career has focused on business transformation and large-scale initiatives.His results have been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal and Business Week among other publications.Jay recently led a company wide effort at Weyerhaeuser to implement a strategic marketing initiative to “build profit through customer focus”.Other accomplishments include reorganizing a 400 people division of Bendix and successfully leading one of their manufacturing and sales organizations, negotiating and completing hardwood acquisitions and implementing Total Quality across the Weyerhaeuser Wood Products sector.In addition to consulting, Jay is a frequent speaker at various customer value management and measurement conferences. After receiving a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nagpur in India, Jay went on to earn an M.B.A. at the University of Oregon and an M.S. in operations research at the University of California Berkely.Jay lives in Tacoma with this wife and enjoys tennis, skiing, hiking, bridge, chess, reading and family.
